Oversized Sweatshirt
Hi Loves! Ever since it started cooling down a little bit in Florida, sweatshirts have been my jam. I love a good, comfortable sweatshirt. These companies, especially the trendier companies, have been making some pretty cool ones. They come distressed, bleached, cropped….you name it!
I opted for a plain semi-oversized sweatshirt by the brand, Everlast. I thrifted the sweatshirt a while back & have literally been LIVING in it! I also love adding vintage brooches to the shoulder area, and sometimes the hem. The brooches give the sweatshirt a different, eclectic vibe. Pair the sweatshirt with a sheer maxi (which was gifted to me by, Reiko) & kick-ass booties and your look is complete!

Haircut & Color for Natural Tapered Hair
Hi Guys,
I finally got a haircut…..and color!!! I haven’t had a haircut since October 2016 (I know, I’m horrible). I was definitely overdue. In my defense, the reason it was so overdue is because I had no idea what I wanted. During the spring and summer, I lived in braids. My hair was going through that awkward stage, and the color was growing out. Like many of you, when it’s time for something “new”, I head straight to Google & Pinterest for inspiration. There are so many cuts and beautiful colors out there, it was so hard to make a choice. I finally decided
I wanted to stay in the red family. I think my stylist, did awesome job! I even recorded the entire process, so be sure to stay tuned for that! If you’re not already SUBSCRIBED to my YouTube channel, please click the link and join the squad!

Vintage Trousers + Cropped Sweatshirt
Hey Loves,
Ya girl is back! I’m so excited to be blogging again. I truly enjoy doing it, and I love chatting with all of you. I have made a promise to myself, and now I’m promising you guys…there will be consistency here. I’ve gotten a calendar/planner to make sure my posts
are planned out. Ok, enough about that. Let’s get into this outfit! As you know, I am one thrifty chick. I don’t try to keep up with the Jones’; I stay in my lane. That lane is budget shopping. Don’t get my wrong, I love designer pieces, but I get those pieces at consignment shops or on sale. I’m all about saving money by shopping at thrift and discount stores.
You guys may rememeber these awesome fruit and floral pants from a recent thrifting trip I took. I even did an IG try on haul that day. I immediately fell in love with them when I saw them. They were only $2, and I couldn’t leave them there. Initially, I planned to pair them with a pussy-bow blouse. It was just a little too dressy for me, so I decided to go a different route with my top. I brought out this gray Hanes sweatshirt (also thrifted), and gave it a good chop. Pairing a cropped sweatshirt with dressier trousers, adds a bit of edginess to the outfit. I feel the classic, nude pumps polishes off the look, but adds a bit of sophistication. I even threw on some fabulous chandelier earrings for a little added drama. This entire outfit (including heels/bag), was only $44!

Athleisure Wear
How are you guys feeling about the athleisure wear trend? I’m kinda digging it! I love the coordinating jogger sets, especially the crop top options. Pair that with some cool sneakers and you have yourself an outfit. However, I’m over 35 (actually closer to
40), so I don’t overdo the trend. I like to add a lot more femininity to my daily style. For those days when I’m just running errands or not really going anywhere, this trend is perfect for me. I just hate looking like I’m going to the gym. Do you guys ever feel like that?

Thrifted Kimono
Today, I’m back with a blog post featuring this gorgeous kimono. As you all may know, I’m a tad bit obsessed with kimonos at the moment. I thrifted this one at a Goodwill in Clearwater, FL. I actually stumbled upon it in the dress section. Would you believe me if I told you it was $3.58? No lie, check out my Thrift Haul for receipts! LOL! Anytime I’m searching for kimonos or dusters, I ALWAYS head to 3 areas:
dresses, outwear, and lingerie/pajama sections. Most times, the lingerie section is the cheapest. Outwear seems to be the most expensive area, which is expected. I paired my kimono with a simple tank top style body suit. I purchased it last summer, and it’s a great basic. I think adding these funky, abstract printed skinny jeans gave a really unexpected vibe to this outfit. Since the kimono is fairly long, I opted to pair it with heels. Heels elevate the look. I have shorter kimonos that I will wear with sneakers, flats, and sandals. This is not one of them. I feel it needs to be worn with heels.

This is one of my favorite clothing pieces that I’ve thrifted so far. I love the retro vibe, the pattern, and the feel. It just feels amazing! If you guys watched me haul this piece, then you know I would die for a matching bottom to this kimono. Just picture how that would look! If I EVER find the bottoms and complete this set, please bury me in this!
What’s your favorite item you’ve thrifted?
